Pikey Peak trek Itenary: A place where a panoramic view of 8000’ers peak can be enjoyed

Adventure begins with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Dhap via jeep. Dhap is a village located in lower Solukhumbu where Sherpa culture is enriched. You can explore the local bazaar and observe the lifestyle of the inhabitants.

This is the first day of trekking. After breakfast, you start the journey to Jhapre. It is 14 kilometers. On the way, you will pass through dense rhododendron and oak forests. This is an easy start as a short trek of around 5 hrs has to done.

This trail takes us higher to the mountains as the altitude rises. The distance is 13.7 km.

Highlights: Blooming rhododendron  forests and a serene base camp with cold Himalayas

Wake up early in the morning and hike for around 1 hrs and then encounter a magical sunrise at the summit of Pikey Peak From here, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of mountains from Kanchenga in the east to Annapurna in the west. The distance is 5.3 km.

Highlights: Panoramic Himalayan scene, a golden sunrise over Everest, and cultural experience of traditional life in Junbesi.

Start your day with a short hike to Thubtenchoeling Monastery, and enjoy the atmosphere of the surroundings. After that continue trekking to Phaplu enjoying the tranquil landscape and villages. The distance is 13.4 km.

Highlights: Spiritual experience at Thubtenchoeling Gompa, sherpa culture, and views of the Solukhmbu valley

After breakfast, take a long drive back to Kathmandu enjoying the scenes.
